Description
Whey Concentrate is a protein powder derived from whey that is rapidly absorbed after any type of physical exercise: strength, endurance or bodybuilding. It is an optimal source of protein between meals at any time of the day. Proteins contribute to maintaining bone health, as well as to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.
It is a complete, high-quality protein that contains all essential amino acids. In addition, it is easily digestible, being absorbed rapidly from the intestine compared to other types of protein. Whey protein increases glycogen levels in the body, also, whey protein, being easy to digest and accessible to the body, is converted very easily, thereby naturally increasing energy levels.
Daily protein requirements
It is often difficult to fully cover daily protein requirements with a regular diet. Athletes, active individuals and especially older adults have increased daily protein needs.
Building and maintaining muscle mass
Increasing muscle mass requires appropriate training, a positive energy balance and a higher protein intake (approx. 2 g/kg body weight per day), especially after training.
Whey protein is renowned worldwide for strengthening and repairing muscles. It is often observed that muscle breakdown occurs as the body's energy levels are depleted through daily exercise and training regimens. As a rich source of protein, whey protein helps build and repair muscles.
Recovery and convalescence
In the post-training recovery phase and when recovering from injuries or illness, the body requires additional amounts of protein. Proteins provide the necessary material to build and renew the body's cells and tissues.
Supports hair, skin and nails
Proteins play an important role in maintaining the health of hair, skin and nails. Proteins provide the body with the amino acids needed to produce keratin – one of the structural proteins in our skin, hair and nails. To stimulate keratin production, an adequate amount of protein is necessary to support this process. Proteins are also one of the building blocks of skin tissue, and adequate intake is essential for healthy skin.
