Description
Preclinical studies have highlighted the diuretic activity of the active principles in dandelion, comparable to that of furosemide, with the additional advantage that, due to its high potassium salt content (4%), it compensates for losses that occur when diuretics are administered.
Dandelion is known for its diuretic, choleretic, tonic and laxative properties.
Indications:
- Microlithiasis of the kidneys, renal insufficiency, urinary infections, kidney stones, renal insufficiency, oliguria, hepatic insufficiency, biliary lithiasis
- The active substances in dandelion stimulate diuresis, promoting the elimination of excess water, edema and renal microcalculi
- It has an action similar to furosemide but, due to its high potassium content, it prevents electrolyte losses
- Additionally, it supports digestion through its stimulating effect on bile (choleretic action) and the digestive tract (increases nutrient absorption and intestinal peristalsis)
- Increases the resistance of the urogenital system against infectious factors and accelerates its recovery following infections
