Preclinical studies have highlighted the diuretic activity of the active constituents of dandelion, comparable to that of furosemide, with the added advantage that, due to its high potassium salt content (4%), it compensates for the losses that occur with diuretic administration.
Dandelion is known for its diuretic, choleretic, tonic and laxative properties.
Indications:
- Renal microlithiasis, renal insufficiency, urinary tract infections, renal lithiasis, oliguria, hepatic insufficiency, biliary lithiasis
- The active substances in dandelion stimulate diuresis, promoting the elimination of excess water, edema and renal microcalculi
- Has an action similar to furosemide but, due to its high potassium salt content, prevents electrolyte losses
- Additionally supports digestion through its stimulatory effect on bile (choleretic action) and the digestive tract (increases nutrient absorption and intestinal peristalsis)
- Increases the resistance of the urogenital system to infectious factors and speeds up its recovery following infections
